Chris Gottfried is a traditionally trained corporate attorney on a mission to increase access to legal services, believing in the power of legal technology to transform the status quo. After 15+ years practicing law in the banking industry, he found himself immersed in the horse industry after his family developed a passion for all things equine. These passions collided to form Horse.Law. Chris can help you with any matter of law, business, or operations and connect you with industry specialists, when necessary. Outside of his law practice, Chris serves on the Faculty at William & Mary’s Mason School of Business, with academic interests in the areas of Corporate Finance, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Business Law. He also sits on the Boards of Natural Systems Analysts, an environmental consulting firm, and Universal Smiles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to improve oral health in Uganda. He passionately supports environmental advocacy and legal pro bono initiatives. Chris obtained a JD and an MBA from the College of William & Mary and a BA in Economics from Wake Forest University.
